Easy and inexpensive kids project using a TP roll and construction paper to create a colorful Thanksgiving Turkey. Kids can be creative with the feathers for this TP roll Turkey Craft – by decorating them or writing what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
MATERIALS:
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Construction paper – or colorful printer paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Stapler
- Yellow or orange pipe cleaner
- Google eyes
- Turkey body and turkey feathers template
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Print out the template for the turkey body and turkey feathers.
- Cut the turkey body out of brown construction paper.
- Cut out as many feathers as needed using Fall colors of construction paper.
- Decorate the feathers.
- Cut the TP roll in half and cut about a 2″ slice down each side.
- Gather the feathers at one end and fan them out then staple the end to hold them in place.
- Secure the feathers into the TP roll where the 2″ cut was made.
- Glue the turkey body, beak and gobbler in place and add the google eyes.
- Wrap the pipe cleaner around the base for the feet.
