A Fun First-Day Handout for Students
The first day of school is here—what better way to welcome your students than with a colorful, custom-made bookmark? These Back-to-School bookmarks are not only cute keepsakes but can also include important classroom or school information for easy reference all year long.
How to Make Custom Back-to-School Bookmarks
This project uses the Custom Bookmarks for Kids page at ActivitiesForKids.com, where you can create full-color bookmarks—eight per printed page—designed just for your class.
Head on over to the Custom Bookmarks for Kids to get started!
- Choose Your Image:
Pick a fun, back-to-school–themed design. - Customize Your Colors:
Select a font and border color that coordinates with your image. - Add Your Text:
Enter up to 8 lines of information (perfect for your name, school name, classroom number, contact details, or a welcome message). The first line will appear in a larger font for emphasis. - Print for Best Results:
Cardstock paper works best for sturdy, long-lasting bookmarks, but regular printer paper works in a pinch.
Printing & Cutting
- Once you’ve customized your bookmarks, press the Submit button to preview your creation.
- Because it’s an interactive program, some browsers may display text differently—if you notice overflow, try shortening your text.
- When you’re happy with the final look, print as many pages as you need.
- Cut along the gray lines to separate the eight bookmarks per page.
More Bookmark Ideas
The Custom Bookmarks for Kids tool isn’t just for back-to-school! You can also create:
