It’s that time of year again! Election time and time to vote. Now is the time for a classroom lesson plan on voting. Create these custom voting ballot bookmarks are a great printout for a classroom activity. Use the first line as the heading, as it prints with a larger font. Continue to lines 2 – 8 which are smaller font can be used for the voting selections or candidates. In addition to classroom candidates, children can also vote for favorite color, favorite food, or favorite movie.

Simple Steps to Create Voting Bookmarks
Start by going to the Custom Holiday Bookmarks for Kids (this page contains the VOTE image shown above) or the General Bookmarks (which contains other classroom images) page and follow the online instructions. Once you have entered in Print the bookmarks and cut them apart.
Beginning with Step 1, you can select the VOTE image, or any of the other 60 images available.
Step 2, line 1 will be the heading for your voting ballot bookmarks. Then use lines 2-8 will contain the names/items being voted on. To allow room for children to put a check mark, start with 3 underscore lines. For a write-in option, the entire line can contain just underscore characters, but it is best not to make the text on any line too long.
In Step 3, you will want to select the option ‘No’ for centering the text on the bookmark to keep it left justified. Once finished, select the Submit button for the printable bookmarks (which are printed 8 per page.)

Customize colors in Steps 4 and 5. Select the text font color and the bookmark border color.
