I love these simple DIY Beaded Headbands! Create a multitude of colors by just using leftover Mardi Gras beads and inexpensive Dollar Store plastic headbands.

Beaded Headbands

Very inexpensive to make and oh so pretty to wear. I purchased this pack of plastic headbands at Dollar Tree.  The package contained 8 colorful headbands that were the perfect colors to match with my stash of Mardi Gras Beads.

Wear just one to match an outfit or wear a combination of headbands (purple, green and red) to celebrate Mardi Gras, St Patrick’s Day or any holiday. These headbands also make great Party Favors for a little girl’s Birthday Party.

Creating the Beaded Headbands

Note: Since a hot glue gun is used to adhere the beads to the headbands, this craft is not intended for children.

Start by selecting a plastic headband that coordinates with the Mardi Gras beads that you will be using.

Cut a section of beads that is the same measurement as the headband. With a glue gun, add a line of hot glue along the outside edge of the headband.

Gently lay the cut section of beads along the glue and hold in place until the glue hardens. This should only take a few seconds.
