Impressionism for Kids, Six Styles of Art

Impressionism is my favorite style of art and one that has always been fun to teach. Lesson plans covering Impressionism for kids allows children to explore their artistic side without some of the rules of traditional art. Impressionism allows child can interpret art in different ways while exploring color and shapes. From Van Gogh with his strong use of complimentary colors to Seurat’s use of pointillism where dots of primary colors blend to create all the colors of the rainbow.
