Great Sunday School Teacher gift! Show someone how special they are with a hand crafted Heart of Gold Bookmark. Two styles are shown here, one using a thin gold ribbon that is looped through a hole, the other using a wider ribbon with a gold brad (paper fastener). This craft is recommended for older children or as a family craft project.

MATERIALS:
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- 2″ wide clear packing tape
- Scotch tape
- Gold garland (Christmas garland) or gold glitter
- Permanent marker
- Gold ribbon
- Gold brad (paper fastener) optional – depending on which type of bookmark you are making.
- Printout for the Heart Stencil

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Follow the directions for the Heart of Gold craft for kids.
- With a hole punch, punch a hole in the upper left portion of the heart.
- There are many ways to attach the gold ribbon to the gold heart. One example shown here, the thin gold ribbon it looped through the hole. A nice way to finish this bookmark is to add a few gold beads to the ends of the cord and knot the two ends together.
- For the other example, I insert a gold brad (paper fastener) through the hole and then through one end of the ribbon. Bend the brad open (behind the heart) to hold it in place.
- NOTE: You may want to finish the edges of the ribbon with a dab of clear nail polish to keep it from fraying.
