U.S. President’s Day Worksheets

To help with February lesson plans, I’ve added three President’s Day Worksheets to use in your classroom or homeschool activities. President’s day, national holiday is celebrated each year on the third Monday in February.

These worksheets are designed with fill in sections to help children research and learn about our different US Presidents.

Children can be creative when working on the Presidential Fact Finder, Presidential Firsts and Presidential Scavenger Hunt. Take a visit to the library to let children research a selected president. Another option is on-line research. Two internet sites I recommend are Kids.gov and USA4Kids.com.

The following worksheets can be selected and printed out on white printer paper. Feel free to print as many worksheets as needed for your students.

Presidential Fact Finder : For this printable worksheet, each child can select a president of their choice. In addition to the basic information of when the president held office, children can also research and learn a little about his/her time before they became president.

Presidential Firsts : This worksheet is more of a basic trivia fact finder for all our prior presidents. Children will discover that throughout the history of US Presidents, there have been many major accomplishments by those holding the highest office in the country.

Presidential Scavenger Hunt : Anymore, it is very easy to ask Alexa or Google these questions, but none the less, it is still an interesting activity to see some of the characteristics that many of our presidents have had in common. Perhaps as part of the President’s Day lesson plan, teachers can discuss how and why certain presidents earned the distinguished honor of appearing on our currency.
