Hot Potato – All ages
A fast paced birthday party game that gets all the children excited and involved. You will need a source for music that can easily be turned on and off. The ‘potato’ can be something that coordinates with the birthday theme. Some suggestions for new ideas for playing Hot Potato might be:
- Lego Party Theme – A Lego person or a large Lego block.
- Island Luau Party – A coconut.
- Pirate Party – Pirate hat.
- Circus Party – Small stuffed lion.

Directions: Players gather in a circle facing inwards. They can be seated or standing. Pass the item from one to the next until the music stops. The child holding the item when the music stops it out. Continue until there is only one player remaining and they are the winner.
