Bead Top Party Favor

Mardi Gras beads make cute and inexpensive party favor containers.
Yet another use for those leftover Mardi Gras beads. With a glue gun to attach the beads to the tops of dollar store plastics for a festive bead container that can be used for storing goodie bag treats. In addition to using these containers for Mardi Gras, these colorful beads work well for a Princess Party Theme and Pirate Party Theme. Select colors that match your party theme.
MATERIALS:
  • Small plastic containers with lids
  • Mardi Gras Beads
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Treats to include in the container
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut the beads so that they are a single strand.
  2. With the glue gun, lightly apply hot glue to the container lid. This step is not recommended for younger children.
  3. Starting along the outer edge of the lid, gently lay the beads in place. You can do a circular design or random.
  4. Once you have enough beads attached to the top of the lid, cut off the rest of the strand.
  5. Fill the container with special treats.
SUGGESTIONS:
These little containers can also be used for game prizes at a birthday paryt. Let the winner of each game select a little ‘treasure’ to take home.
