  • Q-tips – 10
  • Small rubber band
  • Printable Tree Template
  • Printable Heart Template

A Valentine Tree Craft for children uses two printable pages to create a heart shaped tree. Printable pages from Activities for Kids.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Print the Heart Template. Fold it in half on the gray line and cut out the heart.
  2. Print out both the Tree Template and color in with either the crayons or markers.
  3. Group together around 10 Q-tips and bundle together with a small rubber band.
  4. Put a few drops of red paint and white paint on a small paper plate. Use another Q-tip to gently swirl the colors together so there are several shades of red and pink paint.
  5. Place the paper with the cut out heart on top of the tree page. For younger children, an adult may want to tape the pages together so that they don’t shift.
  6. Gently dab one end of the Q-tip bundle into the paint then tap on the paper inside of the cut-out heart.
  7. Let the project dry completely then separate the top heart template from the bottom tree page for the completed Heart Tree craft.
