An easy stamp for Valentine’s Day Hearts, a slice of celery dipped in red paint. Make celery stamp Valentine hearts for a bouquet of flowers on a Valentine’s Day card.

Read why Valentine’s Day is celebrated with a heart symbol.

MATERIALS:
  • Celery stalks
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Small paper plate – for the paints
  • Paint – I used red but pink would also look nice
  • Card stock paper
  • Ribbon – about 6″ per card
  • Green crayon or marker
INSTRUCTIONS For the Heart Stamp:
  • Cut a few sections of the celery. The sections near the top of the stalk will resemble the heart shape
  • Cut the (8.5″ x 11″) paper vertically so that you have 2) 4.25″ x 11″ sections. Fold in half. The fold will be at the top of the card.
  • With the green crayon, draw about 5 – 6 stems and leaves on the bottom half of the card.
  • Put a few drops of red paint on the paper plate. Lightly dip the end of the celery into the paint and stamp the top of the the green stems. You will need to reapply paint after each ‘heart flower’ is painted.
  • Once the card is dry, use the hole punch and coming up from the bottom of the card, punch a hole on each side of the green stems.
  • Thread a colorful ribbon though the holes and tie a bow in the front.
