Printable card for Mother's Day - easy to print out, cut apart and deocrate for Mom from Activities For Kids.

This WOW MOM certainly makes a cute card, but does take a little effort to put it together. I found out the difficulty level out once I started writing the instructions. So, this is definitely not for younger children as the cutting out does take a little precision.

What You Will Need

  • Printer paper – pastel paper works well
  • Printer paper – white
  • Markers, crayons to decorate the card
  • Scissors
  • Printout for WOW MOM Card

Putting the WOW MOM Card Together

  • Select and print out the WOW MOM Card. For this example, I used pink printer paper.
  • Cut out the outer rectangle of the letters then trace this shape on the white printer paper. The size is approximately 5″ x 5.25″. If you are using a paper cutter, cut both papers at the same time.
  • Carefully fold the card in half so that the letters overlay each other. Make sure the print is on the outside.
  • Cut the letters out as shown. Be careful not to cut the letters apart.
  • With your scissors, make a snip in the center of the ‘O’ and carefully trim out the center of each letter.
  • Once cut apart, lay the card flat and decorate the letters MOM, with crayons or markers, on one of the sides (this will be the front of the card).
  • With a very light layer of glue, attach one side of the undecorated letters to the white folded paper (see example).
  • Children can sign the bottom portion of the white card, then fold this up over the glued down letters for MOM. Finally, fold over the decorated letters to be the front of the card.
