- Scissors

How to Make a Child’s Prayer Journal
- Print the Prayer Journal cover and cross template on white printer paper. These templates will be used to trace the cover pieces onto craft foam.
- Print as many Prayer Journal pages as you’d like. Each page becomes part of the journal, and you can always add more later as children continue their prayer journey.
- Cut out the journal cover template and cross. Trace the front and back cover onto one color of craft foam and cut them out. Trace the cross onto a second color of craft foam and cut it out.
- Cut apart the printable journal pages and punch a hole where indicated.
- Punch matching holes in the front cover, back cover, and foam cross.
- Assemble the journal by placing the back cover first, followed by the journal pages, the front cover, and finally the cross. Secure everything together with the binder ring.
- Let children personalize their journals! Decorate the cover with markers, glitter glue, sequins, foam stickers, or other embellishments that adhere well to craft foam.

Why Kids Love Prayer Journals
A prayer journal helps children make prayer a daily habit while giving them a safe place to write about what’s on their hearts. Younger children may enjoy drawing pictures instead of writing, while older kids can record answered prayers, favorite Bible verses, and things they’re thankful for.
Whether you’re looking for a Christian craft for kids, a Sunday School activity, or a meaningful family faith project, this printable Child’s Prayer Journal is an engaging way to help children build a lifelong habit of prayer and gratitude.
