Creating the Custom Bookmarks

Start by heading over to the Custom Holiday Bookmarks for Kids page. Once there, you will find six cute images with a Valentine’s Day theme. So, for step 1, select the design that you want for the bookmarks. I choose the Hearts and Flowers.

Next, you can enter up to 8 lines of text. The first line prints in a larger font, so in the above example there was overflow on the first line resulting in two lines of larger font. To make sure I didn’t create an overflow issue, I left the 2nd and 6th lines blank. On line 7, I typed ‘Love,’. And, on line 8, ten, underscore characters were entered to create a line for a signature.

You can select the option for centered text, or select no for left justified text.

Finally, you choose the font color and bookmark border color. I selected red for the font and purple for the border. When you select Submit, you will be directed to another site, Activities4Kids.com which processes the information to create the bookmarks.

The bookmarks will print 8 per page and work best when printed on white card-stock paper. Though, regular printer paper can also be used. It is easy to preview before printing – just press the back button to return to the page where you entered the information.

Note: Different browsers process the information differently, so you may need to tweak the text that is entered to avoid overflow issues. You may also receive a notification that the Activities4 Kids.com is not secure (I’m working on this issue). It is just because it has not been registered as an SSL secured site.
