A favorite birthday party game that is easy to follow for all ages of children. Musical Chairs is the perfect game to incorporate into just about any birthday theme by coordinating the ‘chairs’ with theme colors or topic. You will need a to have a source of music that can easily be turned on and off.
Select one of the following:
- Chairs
- Cushions on the floor
- If playing outside, use chalk to make designs on the driveway
- Pool Party – hand towels – folded beach towels
- Princess Party – small pillows
Directions: It is best to start with at least six players. Put out enough ‘chairs’ for all the players less one. Chairs can be arranged back to back or in a circle. The children dance and move about as the music plays, and when it stops they scramble for a chair. After each round, the player that did not find a chair must sit out. A chair is removed until finally there is just one chair left with two players. The last player to be in the seat is the winner.
