Holiday Ornament Cards to Print and Decorate

by Theresa Johnston

Looking for a festive craft that works for every age group—from preschoolers (who use too much glue) to older kids who appreciate a quick-but-cute DIY? These Printable Holiday Ornament Cards are the perfect seasonal project. They’re simple enough for classroom crafting and charming enough to become heartfelt note cards.

Holiday Ornament Cards

Best of all, these cards double as holiday greeting cards or thank-you notes. Kids can even bundle a few together with envelopes to create a thoughtful little gift set for family and friends.

This free printable includes two card sizes—3.75″ x 4.75″ and 3″ x 4.5″. Both formats print two cards per page, making this a budget-friendly classroom or group project. And yes, I’ve included links to my favorite envelopes and the best green printer paper for getting those classic ornament-on-evergreen look.

What You’ll Need

  • Printable PDF:
    Small Ornament Card (3″ x 4.5″)
    Large Ornament Card (3.75″ x 4.75″)
  • Green printer paper (or another color—green just looks the most festive!)
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Sequins, rhinestones or other embellishments of different sizes and colors

Tip: A slightly heavier 24 lb paper works best.

How to Make the Holiday Ornament Cards

  1. Print Your Cards
Choose your preferred size and print the ornament template onto green printer paper. You’ll get two cards per sheet—perfect for groups, classrooms, or anyone trying to get ahead on holiday thank-you notes.
  2. Decorate the Ornaments
Add a small dot of glue about 1/4″ beneath each printed ornament holder.
Press on a sequin, gemstone, or other sparkly embellishment. Let them dry for about 15 minutes (or just long enough to sing a Christmas song or two).
  3. Fold and Finish
Once dry, fold along the center line to create your cards. And that’s it! You’ll have a tidy little stack ready in minutes—no crafting marathon required.

I’ve started making TikTok videos for some of these crafts—be gentle, I’m learning—but I hope you enjoy the quick walkthroughs. More holiday crafts are on the way!
