Happy Mother’s Day Banner

Kids can show Mom just how special she is to them by putting together this Happy Mother’s Day banner. This cute printable banner can be colored and decorated or used just as it is printed. The tradition of Mother’s Day is celebrated around the world most commonly in March or May.

Printable Happy Mother's Day Banner

The three banners contain the words ‘Happy’ ‘Mother’s’ ‘Day’. This is an easy craft that is perfect for classrooms and larger groups. To make the banner more colorful, I added an additional banner cut out of wrapping paper behind the solid banner.  At the Custom Banners Page, you can find additional printable banners for holidays.

Supplies Needed

  • White paper or pastel color printer paper. Cardstock paper can also be used but is not necessary.
  • Colorful yarn or ribbon – about 5 feet long.
  • Hole punch.
  • The PDF for the 3 banner pages: Happy  Mother’s  Day
  • Scissors
  • Crayons or markers

Putting it Together

  • Start by selecting and printing each of the 3 banners: Happy  Mother’s  Day. You will need three pieces of paper for this step.
  • Next, cut each of the banners apart along the outside line.
  • Color in the letters and let children be creative and add additional decorations and special notes to dad.
  • Using a hole punch, punch 4 holes in each banner where indicated by the small circles.
  • Finish the banner off by using about 5 feet of colorful yarn or ribbon to string the banner together.

For a more colorful banner, as shown above, select and print the larger banner stencil.  Trace this stencil onto colorful paper or pretty wrapping paper for each of the three banners. Cut these apart and put one behind the banners. You can glue or tape the background papers in place. Another option is to attach the two papers together at the punched holes with the ribbon.
