Another use for that stash of Mardi Gras beads that you’ve got stored away in your craft closet. The Star of David Craft worked out so well, that we decided to create a Beaded Christmas Tree Craft as well. Just about any sort of recycled lid will work with this craft. For the best look, use the large clear lid that if found on most 32 oz yogurt containers.
MATERIALS:
- Craft glue
- Marker
- Scissors
- Red, green and gold Mardi Gras beads
- Green glitter
- Plastic lid
INSTRUCTIONS:
- On the inside of the lid, draw the triangle shape with the marker that will be used for the Christmas tree.
- Cut 3 sections of the green Mardi Gras beads the same legnth of the tree outline, allowing room for a single gold bead at the top of the tree.
- Trace the tree outline with the craft glue and attach the single gold bead and the 3 sections of Mardi Gras beads to the lid.
- Add a line of glue along the edge of the plastic lid and attach the red beads.
- Allow time to dry.
- Once dry, lightly brush diluted glue inside the tree and sprinkle with green glitter.
- Make a small snip at the top secion of the lid add a short section of gold beads to create a hanger for the Beaded Christmas Tree Craft.
