About My Grandparents

A Grandparent holds a special place in a grandchild’s life. Seeing a grandparent through a child’s eyes can be such a precious memory. This activity gives children the opportunity to answer questions ‘About My Grandparents’. There is a different printout for Grandma and Grandpa.

This cute keep-sake card can be printed out for just one child or the class. Each printout is a one page printable that folds into a tri-fold card. Children kids can color the border and add a picture. Younger children may need a little help writing the words on their grandparent’s card, but this is a great way to practice writing.

What’s Needed

Creating the Grandparents Cards

  • Select and print out the one page printable for My Grandma Card or My Grandpa Card.
  • Cut the rectangle card out, following the outer gray line.
  • Have the child draw a picture of their grandparent or something that is special to them and decorate the border.
  • Next, children can fill in the blanks with answers to the questions about their grandma or grandpa.
  • Finally, fold the card as shown. The first fold is between the front picture and the body of the card. The second fold is on the dotted gray line. This will create the tri-fold card with the picture on the top. The All About My Grandparents cards should fit into a standard size envelope.
