Gold Star Bookmark

Show someone how special they are with a hand crafted Gold Star Bookmark. This example uses a gold ribbon attached to the gold star with a gold brad (paper fastener). This craft is recommended for older children or as a family craft project.

  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • 2″ wide clear packing tape
  • Scotch tape
  • Gold garland (Christmas garland) or gold glitter
  • Permanent marker
  • Gold ribbon
  • Gold brad (paper fastener)
  • Printout for the Star Template

  • Follow the directions for the Heart of Gold craft for kids, but substitute the star for the heart template.
  • With a hole punch, punch a hole in the center of the star.
  • Insert a gold brad (paper fastener) through the hole and then through one end of the ribbon. Bend the brad open (behind the star) to hold it in place.
  • NOTE: You may want to finish the edges of the ribbon with a dab of clear nail polish to keep it from fraying.
