Clay Dough Ladybug

Description:
Age Range: 6-12 years old.
Time: 1hour and 40 minutes and 1 night drying time

Materials needed for Clay Dough Recipe:

  • Small Pot
  • 1 c Cornstarch
  • 1¼ c Water
  • 2 c Baking Soda
  • Waxed Paper
  • Paints
  • Paintbrushes

Directions for Clay Dough Recipe:

  1. Add cornstarch, baking soda, and water to the pot. Mix well. Stir mixture often, over medium heat until it thickens (about 10 minutes).
  2. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely (about 1 hour).
  3. Use a large piece of wax paper to create a workspace.
  4. Knead the dough prior to creating.
  5. Create object of your choice and allow it to dry overnight.
  6. To store unused dough, refrigerate in a sealed container.
  7. Otherwise, allow creation to dry and paint as desired.

    Great little clay dough recipe! I’ve made this a few times before and it’s worked out perfectly. Is there anything I can substitute for cornstarch? I ran out!
