Description:
Age Range: 6-12 years old.
Time: 1hour and 40 minutes and 1 night drying time
Materials needed for Clay Dough Recipe:
- Small Pot
- 1 c Cornstarch
- 1¼ c Water
- 2 c Baking Soda
- Waxed Paper
- Paints
- Paintbrushes
Directions for Clay Dough Recipe:
- Add cornstarch, baking soda, and water to the pot. Mix well. Stir mixture often, over medium heat until it thickens (about 10 minutes).
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely (about 1 hour).
- Use a large piece of wax paper to create a workspace.
- Knead the dough prior to creating.
- Create object of your choice and allow it to dry overnight.
- To store unused dough, refrigerate in a sealed container.
- Otherwise, allow creation to dry and paint as desired.
Suggestions:
- Roll out the dough and cut with a cookie cutter for creative magnets

Great little clay dough recipe! I’ve made this a few times before and it’s worked out perfectly. Is there anything I can substitute for cornstarch? I ran out!
