Clay Dough Magnets

Description:
Age Range: 6-12 years old.
Make the dough then mold it into creative shapes for magnets.

Materials needed for Clay Dough Magnets:

  • Sculpting Clay or Salt Dough
  • Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Cookie Cutters (Optional)
  • Glue Gun or Strong Craft Glue
  • Small Magnets

Directions for Clay Dough Magnets:

  1. Shape Sculpting Clay or Salt Dough into desired shape or use a cookie cutter to create the desired shape.
  2. Allow salt dough to dry for 2 nights or sculpting clay to dry overnight.
  3. Paint creations and allow it to dry.
  4. Glue small magnet to back. Be sure it is completely dry before use.

Suggestions:

  • Either sculpting clay or salt dough may be used, however, sculpting clay seems to harden nicely for magnets.
