Christmas Ornament Gift Tags

This craft can be done simply for younger children by using markers, crayons or even by decorating with simple holiday shapes. Older children can be a little more creative with the holiday scenes. Either way I’ve included a printout of the holiday designs that I used for the Christmas Ornament Gift Tags that are shown here.
  • White or colored printer paper. Card-stock paper works best for the ornaments
  • Holiday ribbons or other items to decorate ornaments
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Printable Mini Christmas decorations and Ornament template (3 per page)
  • Print out the Ornament template on either white or colorful printer paper. If printing on white printer paper, students can cut apart then trace onto construction paper or a heavier weight card-stock paper. Printed paper can be folded in half and then cut out.
  • Decorate the folded ornaments. A hole punch was used to create the snowflakes on the snowman design and the ornaments on the tree design.
  • The traditional ornament with the stripes and dots uses reflective tape (found at the Dollar Tree) as well as red dots from a hole punch.
  • Put a hole near the folded part of the ornament and attach to a package with a ribbon to use as a gift tag.
