- Colorful candies such as
skittles scattered on a white tablecloth will add a
festive touch.
- A centerpiece of tropical
fruits such as Pineapple or coconut.
- Be sure to play tropical
music
- For place markers at the table - use the flower
top pattern with bright colors of fun
foam. Fill a
cleaned out .5 liter plastic bottle with water and 1-2 drops of green
food coloring. Place the flower top over the open neck
of the bottle, then tightly screw on the bottle lid.
Later on, children can decorate their flowers with glitter
paints and markers. (These
can also be used for the Flower Toss game below).

Activities

- Jar Sand Creations
- Pre make several colors
of 'sand'. Then layer the sand into small jars
such as baby food jars. Use the back of a spoon, a
straw or toothpick to make designs.
- Pasta Necklaces,
bracelets, anklets - Make several colors of pasta using
the colored
pasta recipe, string together.
- Flower
Toss - Cut several flower tops out of different bright
colors of fun foam. Cut out center circle. Clean
an empty .5 liter clear plastic pop bottle, and remove any
labels. Fill bottle with water and 1-2 drops of green
food coloring. Place the flower top over the open neck
of the bottle, then tightly screw on the bottle
lid. Use large plastic food container lids with
the center cut out to throw over the flowers. Who ever
can circle the most flowers is the winner.
